BLANK is an epic adventure in miniature scale, an enchanting love story filmed entirely using practical stop motion.
Working on storyboards for #BLANKandBOW - by @reginoroyiii
Yay - we took away best animated film at the @NewMediaFF tonight :) Huge thanks to NMFF for playing our little film - it’s always wonderful to see people connecting with #BLANKandBOW !
Our hero, BLANK, moving towards the last factory. The world of Vinylmation doesn’t know it yet, but everything is about to change.

all 5 of the hot air balloons are rigged and ready to go! a few need a bit of leveling still, but I made it easy to adjust each one. #blankandbow
A rare view from behind the Fix-It Factory. There’s a whole box of safety pins back there!
Getting into the big paint-battle scenes now - we covered almost every inch of this set, everyone on set took turns painting shapes and pictures.
woke up at 5:30 this morning to watch (QC) a showing of #BLANKandBOW at the El Capitan :) it was my 1st time at the theater!, and it was pretty amazing to have the historic theater all to ourselves. Tomorrow is the first public showing of the film after #FROZEN. Here’s hoping for a good turnout *fingers crossed*
last day of sound-mixing for #BLANKandBOW :) very exciting - just a few days now till the El Capitan…
Just shy of breaking 100!
Paint buckets! You’ll spot these little 3D printed cans near the end of BLANK, as well as in our short film Cranes in Love.
The world for Vinylmations was mapped above Disneyland - here are early 3D models of where Factory Row is in relationship to the Caves (Pirates), the Flower Fields (Storybook Land), the Mountain Pass (Matterhorn), and our last yet-to-be-revealed location (which is closer to Space Mountain).
We’re excited to later explore the Vinylmation world version of Grand Canyon, Main St, and the Jungle Cruise. Not to mention what exists outside of the park walls!
Test shots from Mar 29 - setting up the Enjoy the New You sequence.
